How Subject Editors Select Products

By majority vote, Subject Editors decide which products should be included in (or removed from) the GreenHomeGuide product directory. After a vote, at least one Editor writes a review supporting the decision to include a product by answering the question, "What makes this product green?"

Homeowners and professionals who use the Guide's directory are thus assured that the products listed here were selected through an informed and objective process.

Subject Editors are green building professionals (architects, builders, etc) who have been selected for their:
1. experience applying green building principles,
2. thoughtful written expression, and
3. product category experience.

Subject Editors are organized in small groups and focus on one building material category (i.e., flooring, countertops, stone & tile, etc). Each group meets quarterly to keep the product directories up-to-date and useful.
