Since 2002 I have been a LEED 2.0 Accredited Professional.  I’ve worked on green projects such as: Capitol Area East End Complex (Sacramento, CA), California High Performance Schools Best Practices Manual, and Santa Monica Public Safety Facility.

Consultant regarding household products and building materials that are safer for health and the environment, since 1980. Debra has reviewed materials specifications and made specific recommendations for more than a dozen residences and several offices, including an apartment building in New York City. She has worked with homeowners, architects, contractors, and interior designers. Debra did her first green remodel on her own home in 1985.

McCutcheon Construction has completed many green projects. We have more than ten Certified Green Building Professionals on staff, including two designers. McCutcheon has extensive experience with most green building materials and methods including high-volume fly ash concrete, radiant heating, cellulose insulation, recycled materials, certified lumber, photovoltaic systems, etc. 

The company is deeply involved in the green building community through Build It Green, the Green Building Professionals Guild, and GreenHomeGuide.  Michael McCutcheon, President, serves on the Board of Directors of Build It Green and lectures on green building topics at venues such as West Coast Green and JLC Live.

Our work is based on the principles of Bau-biologie, which is the study of the effect of the built environment on human health. We are educating and assisting a growing clientele in making their home environments healthier and more environmentally responsible. Eco-terric’s owner, Rowena Finegan, is certified by the BBEC-Institute for Bau-Biology & Ecology, and we are members of Co-op America.

Green Fusion Design Center’s products possess, at a minimum, at least one of the following attributes: recycled, biodegradable, organic, natural, energy efficient, water efficient, exceptionally durable, non-toxic, locally produced, sustainably harvested, and supportive of the global community’s health and well being.

As a new company, we have just begun to supply our community with green building and lifestyle products.  Our staff of dedicated green professionals includes a LEED AP on staff, an experienced green materials specifier, and a Green Interior Designer on site.  Our business is affiliated with the USGBC-NCC.
